FLOWER FARM
When the time came to diversify the family farm, Natalie took the plunge and set about starting a cut flower business. In her first year she drowned plants, scorched them, froze them and accidentally threw some away... but after months of hard work, she had established a productive field filled with blooms. She had also learned that her hands would never be soft again.
Natalie now works with her mum Carolyn to grow a range of colourful seasonal flowers from May until October. Natalie is in charge of ordering and sowing seed as well as floristry, whereas Carolyn is very much in control of the field; planting out, organising and keeping everything alive and thriving.
You won't see any floral foam or single use plastic in any of our arrangements, and none of our flowers have been subjected to chemical preservatives or pesticides. We believe that growing flowers should benefit our environment as well as our lives, so we always grow a diverse range of pollinator-friendly species and nurture a growing wildflower patch.
We currently offer market bunches in the cafe or pre-ordered arrangements. We do not provide flowers for external events or wholesale.
Our flower season runs from May until October.
