It was a real honour to be able to cook a few dishes from Sami’s beautiful book ‘Boustany’ and share them with guests throughout the evening.

🌸 A quick divergence from food to talk about flowers!
We’ve always intended to open up our flower farm to the public for ‘Pick Your Own’ evenings or just for the joy of wandering around space.
So far, we’ve been scuppered by insurance (year 1), monsoon-style rain (year 2) and now drought (year 3). While our flower stand is regularly stocked with blooms from our farm, we really don’t have the quantities of flowers that we should at this time of year. Certainly not enough to justify PYO when we have existing flowery commitments to weddings and events.
🌼 SO we are putting a pin in PYO for this year. We’re sorry to disappoint our customers, but unless a weather-based miracle occurs and our plants start growing at a rate of knots, we just can’t anticipate suitable quantities of flowers this year.
We’re not giving up on the vision though! So watch this space and, with a little patience, hopefully you’ll be roaming our flower farm next summer snipping blooms into a bucket. 🤞🏼

We are utterly in awe of the cake-creating skills of both independent bakers who supply us with delicious home-bakes every week. We used to do all of our own baking, but as demand grew (and somehow our kitchen seemed to shrink) it became impossible for us to keep up! So now we have two incredibly lovely local bakers who are far more skilled than we ever were.
Please pop in and sample some of their beautiful bakes this week!

We are also very excited for Friday night, when we’ll have @rcvocalcoaching singing from 7pm and we’ll be serving aperitivo until 8pm! Bar closes at 9pm 🥂

Last night we hosted our very first supper club with a guest chef at the helm. I think we speak for everyone when we say that @chef_laura_pope absolutely nailed it!
Plates and plates of delicious food just kept on coming. Laura really brought a taste of Mediterranean sunshine to our cafe and everybody loved it ☀️

We’re now incredibly excited for our supper club season and my goodness we’ve got some fabulous meals on the horizon.

Of course we mean dad dads, stepdads, granddads, dog dads, lizard dads, fish dads, cat dads and all the other versions of ‘dad’ out there. Here’s to you! 🥂

We should probably also mention our dad (he’ll be horrified) who is often found working incredibly hard on the farm or grazing over a cheese board with a nice Chianti…
We couldn’t have built our business without him. (I mean, he literally built a lot of it.) So here is a massive WE LOVE YA to our dear dad ❤️
