About the event
In collaboration with The Kitchen Table, we are delighted to host food writer Angela Clutton to celebrate the launch of her fabulous new book, Seasoning.
'Seasoning' features over 50 vegetables and fruits, each with a short feature about its heritage and seasonality, and that’s then followed by guides on how to shop and store, ways to cook and use, flavour partners and tips on preserving. This book is both fascinating and incredibly practical featuring 75 fantastic recipes to suit each season.
During this event you can enjoy an informal talk and Q&A with the author and learn about why seasonality is so important, even when so much produce is now available all year round. You'll be greeted with a glass of prosecco on arrival followed by a delicious selection of sample recipies* from Angela's new book, all included in your ticket price!
Angela Clutton has worked extensively with Borough Market as a feature writer, recipe developer, demonstration cook, and host of their hugely popular Cookbook Club. As presenter and curator of live or broadcast events she hosts Borough Market’s ‘Borough Talks’ podcast series - featuring Melissa Hemsley, Kimberley Wilson, Tim Lang, Tom Parker-Bowles and more - and has hosted for online cookalongs with Yotam Ottolenghi amongst others.
Angela is Co-Director of the British Library’s ‘Food Season’, curating and presenting talks and events across food issues, culture and writing.
She's also written about food and drink for publications such as the Daily Telegraph, Independent and Country Life.
Angela will be doing book signings at the event and 'Seasoning' will be available to purchase on the day. If you can't wait that long, pop in to The Kitchen Table in Shaftesbury to purchase an advance copy!
