About the event
In collaboration with The Kitchen Table, we are delighted once again to host chef and writer Ursula Ferrigno to celebrate her fabulous book, Dolci Italiani.
This event is perfect for anyone who enjoys the sweeter things in life, looking at the deserts, cakes and bakes from Ursula's native Italy. It's also Mother's Day, so a great excuse to treat yourself (or your loved ones) to an afternoon outing.
Enjoy an informal talk and Q&A with the author and learn about the delights of Italian cuisine, with a focus on both traditional and modern desserts. Treat yourself to a glass of prosecco on arrival followed by afternoon tea, where you can indulge in a selection of delicious treats from the book, all included in your ticket price!
Ursula is a highly acclaimed food writer and chef, she trained at the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts and has herself taught at leading cookery schools both in the UK and Italy, including Leith’s School of Food and Wine, Divertimenti and La Cucina Caldesi to name a few. Her enthusiasm and charisma is boundless and teaching skills are second to none with an insurmountable depth of knowledge.
Ursula will be doing book signings at the event and 'Dolci Italiani' will be available to purchase on the day. If you can't wait that long, pop in to The Kitchen Table in Shaftesbury to purchase an advance copy! Take your ticket with you for a discount on your book purchase.
NB: This event is seated on large tables - we recommend arriving with your group to ensure that you are seated together.
Tickets include a glass of prosecco, trio of desserts and a pot of tea. Due to the nature of this event, we cannot cater for dairy or gluten allergies.
